Borshoff donates folders to African orphanage
African children are benefiting from folders donated recently by Borshoff. Instead of tossing away hundreds of unused pocket folders with the Borshoff Johnson Matthews logo, the former company name for Borshoff, the agency donated the items to an orphanage in Zimbabwe. The orphanage is one of three in Africa supported by Indianapolis resident Jayne During. Through her Kuaba Humanitarian Foundation, During has secured grants to support the orphanages, which feed and care for more than 600 children each day.
"While we tried to use up supplies bearing our old logo, we had a number of folders left over," said Susan Matthews, a Borshoff principal. "By donating them to Kuaba, we provided needed supplies to the orphanage -- and helped reduce landfill at the same time."
