Borshoff teams with Governor’s Council on conference workshop
For more than 20 years, Borshoff has provided communications assistance to the Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities. Recently, Borshoff conducted a Disability Awareness Month workshop at the Council’s Nov. 27-28 statewide Conference for People with Disabilities. The presentation provided tips for conducting effective disability awareness grassroots efforts in local communities. Borshoff shared the podium with several panelists doing exceptional campaigns around the state. The 50 workshop attendees were then invited to share their individual experiences, offer input and ask questions to further help them in their advocacy efforts.
Because Borshoff designs and develops the majority of disability awareness month materials for the Council each year, it was especially helpful to learn firsthand from participants what works for them and what doesn’t. Feedback from the session will help drive future campaigns.
Borshoff also develops the annual Conference logo and print materials, as well as conducting media relations before and after the event to build greater awareness of the Council and its efforts.
