Borshoff staff donates dresses to Julian Center

Borshoff staff members brought out their best dresses for a good cause. The 11 dresses were donated to Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School in support of a campaign sponsored by The Julian Center.

The Julian Center is a nonprofit agency that provides counseling, safe shelter and education for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other life crises. Thrifty Threads, the center’s thrift store, will provide the school with prom dresses for 25 juniors and seniors.

After some intense closet cleaning and soul searching, staff members were ready to bring in their prom and bridesmaids dresses, putting to good use the over-priced satin numbers that were worn once, maybe twice.

Vice President Bill Lovejoy could not help but wonder, “If those dresses could talk…”
