Borshoff employee grows long locks for a reason

Art director Shannon Zajicek is rooted in her love for children. For the past two years, she has grown her hair specifically for Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada, who are experiencing long-term hair loss from a medical condition.

After a year of meticulously washing and conditioning her thick, healthy light brown hair, Shannon donated 11 inches of her hair. This was her second donation to the organization in two years. "My cousin inspired me to grow my hair," Shannon said. "I'm always excited to make a donation because I feel like I'm doing a good deed and helping someone who needs it." Shannon may be sporting a shoulder-length bob for now, but she has plans to grow long locks again.
