Borshoff recognized as a “Company that Cares” 15 consecutive years
Borshoff was one of 23 companies recognized at the 2009 United Way Annual Meeting for receiving the coveted Company that Cares designation for 15 years running. Of the 264 companies earning this distinction for 2008, only 23 have obtained this designation every year since the award’s inception in 1994. We are thrilled to be a part of such a special group!
The Company that Cares distinction is awarded to organizations that reach their United Way fundraising or participation goals and achieve benchmarks in volunteerism, community involvement, leadership giving and more. A Company that Cares also excels in educating employees about community needs and the best ways to meet them, and exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism by allowing employees to give time to United Way and its agencies.
“The United Way is the one community organization that we embrace as an entire company,” said principal Susan Matthews. “We appreciate that the United Way touches the lives of so many area citizens in meaningful ways.”
