Borshoff team speaks at Governor’s Council Partners in Policymaking conference
Three Borshoff team members provided pro bono media relations counsel last month to approximately 40 attendees at a “Demystifying the Media” training session for members of the Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities’ Partners in Policymaking Academy. Erik Johnson, APR, Amy Hanna, ABC, and Kassie Mills shared information on newsworthy topics/events, how to increases chances of news coverage, and how to successfully work with members of the media, among other topics.
From October through May each year, the Partners in Policymaking Academy offers concentrated training to educate people with disabilities and family members to be active partners with those who make policy. Partners in Policymaking uses national, state and local presenters to promote the value of inclusion and the belief that people with disabilities should be respected and contributing members of their communities.
