Heartland Sweeteners partners with Soroptimist to help women and girls
INDIANAPOLIS –Heartland Sweeteners is proud to announce its new partnership with Soroptimist International of the Americas, an international volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls. Heartland Sweeteners will donate a portion of its sales of Ideal® no calorie sweetener, its healthy alternative to sugar, to Soroptimist. The donations will further the organization’s work to help girls overcome poverty, illiteracy, discrimination and domestic violence and enable them to live their dreams.
“It’s a natural relationship for both organizations. We’re both about helping women live healthier, more productive lives,” explains Mike Servie, president of Heartland Sweeteners.
“We’re delighted to give back to local communities touched by Soroptimist.”
A number of opportunities are provided through Soroptimist, including the Women’s Opportunity Awards, which gives women the resources they need to improve their education, skills and job prospects. Other programs include Live Your Dream Campaign, Violet Richardson Award recognizing girls’ volunteer efforts, and the Disaster Recovery Fund for Women and Girls.
