FSSA Medicare
In 2006, the federal government expanded the Medicare
program to include prescription medication coverage for beneficiaries. Indiana
Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) was charged with helping
educate Hoosier Medicare beneficiaries about the new Medicare provision. Borshoff developed a comprehensive
campaign, called "Simple, honest help," that blended branding, public
relations, advertising and community events to raise awareness of the help
provided by the State. The plan was divided into three phases, with unique
messaging within each phase.
RESULTS: Over the course of the campaign, Borshoff garnered 440 Medicare story placements/airings, trained or secured more than 450 volunteers, and coordinated 60 events and enrollment education opportunities to successfully reach thousands of Medicare beneficiaries across the state.
