Not my husband, of course, but my baby. There’s just something irresistible about my two-month-old to all the ladies at work. (The men like him too, but they keep their distance.)

I am just one of many Borshoff employees who has taken advantage of our Bring Your Baby to Work program. I’m the second who’s brought more than one child to work, though.

My second son Max was an angel when I brought him to work three years ago. He was quiet, ate on a normal schedule and loved his portable swing. He’d smile at my co-workers who walked by, but rarely tried to lure them in my office.

Alex – yes, my third son – is an entirely different story. We’re still finding our way here, but he caught on quickly that a little whimper and women run to his side. He’s a cuddler, a snuggler even, and he’s quick to shoot a smile at anyone with their arms outstretched. And before I know it, he’s canoodling with a woman with an unfamiliar scent.

Bringing my son to work with me is awesome. I can take the time to feed, change, sing to and entertain him when he needs it. But I can also produce quality work as I hear his little snore in the background. My clients like hearing his little groans during our calls. And I like earning a salary while I spend quality time with my little angel.

My co-workers love the break from work for a small reminder of home, whether they have children or not. After all, who doesn’t love that feeling of rocking a baby to sleep or eliciting a smile?

But, like all true loves, he always comes back to me. I’d like to think it’s my personality, but it’s probably the hunger (or my scent).
