Borshoff turned 25 this month. Twenty-five years is a good span, and one filled with many memories. In celebration, we’re posting our Top 25 highlights.

- Myra Borshoff Cook founded the company with a business partner and receptionist. (1984)
- Susan Matthews starts as the first full-time account professional. (1985)
- Landed our first major campaign assignment: promoting safety belt use in Indiana. (1986)
- Join IPREX, an association of independent communications firms that gives us global reach. (1987)
- Evelyn Hutson comes on board as a temporary receptionist. Twenty-three years later, she is our financial administrator. (1987)
- Erik Johnson joins as principal/owner, giving us not only a height advantage, but insights into the world of utilities. (1990)
- Rename the company Borshoff Johnson & Co. (1994)
- Launch our Strategic Quality Initiative, which gives each employee an opportunity to contribute to the growth and management of the agency. (1995)
- Susan Matthews is named principal and becomes a one-third owner. (1997)
- Move to the heart of downtown, filling the fifth floor at 47 S. Pennsylvania. (1998)
- Launch our popular Bring Your Baby to Work program, which allows parents to bring infants aged 6 weeks to 6 months into the office with them. (2000)
- Rename the company Borshoff Johnson Matthews. (2001)
- Earn WBE status, reflecting that we are majority woman owned. (2001)
- Co-brand the creative division as 2Fold design + marketing, celebrating the beauty and efficiency of origami. (2002)
- Hit 30-employee mark and named one of the nation’s best agencies to work for by “The Holmes Report.” (2003)
- Add dedicated 2Fold space and a training room on 4th floor, increasing total square footage by 50 percent. (2004)
- Formalize our proprietary Borshoff Branding Process. (2005)
- Myra Borshoff Cook is inducted to the PRSA College of Fellows; Erik is inducted in 2008. (2006)
- Complete our first international branding project (2006)
- Expand to two full floors at 47 S. Pennsylvania. (2006)
- Conduct crisis communications for the 36-story One Indiana Square tower crisis, when straight line winds damaged 16 floors and displaced 1,000 employees for weeks. (2006)
- Jennifer Dzwonar named principal/owner. (2007)
- Launch the new Borshoff brand, combining Borshoff Johnson Matthews and 2Fold and reinforcing our integrated approach to communications. (2007)
- Myra Borshoff Cook is inducted into the Central Indiana Business Hall of Fame. (2007)
- Celebrating 25 years! (2009)
