Earlier this week, I attended the grand opening of The Riverwalk Banquet Center & Lodge located in Broad Ripple on Westfield Boulevard. Gus Rojas, Five Star Catering and the Riverwalk team did a great job of welcoming, entertaining and interacting with guests.
This grand opening successfully executed three key elements, making it an enjoyable and memorable event.

Welcoming first impressions
The venue was easy to find. The directions were concise, and parking spots were available. When I walked in the front door, staff were smiling and thanking me for attending.
Engaging entertainment
The band played upbeat music and encouraged the crowd to take a spin on the dance floor. A professional dancer taught flamenco dance steps to the attendees, and the chefs working the food stations drew a crowd as they dramatically prepared food with flavor and flair.
Interactive set up
The Riverwalk team did a great job of arranging the large, spacious facility into five themed areas featuring different décor, set up and catering options. Showcasing the variety of special event options available enabled to the crowd to experience the entire venue while enjoying the decorative displays and cuisine.
To make the most of your next special event, remember to make guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive, engage them during the event and ensure the venue is set up to showcase its finest features.
