Sometimes it’s fun being the “little guy.” Borshoff has been awarded a 2009 silver Davey Award for the E-Bill introductory campaign we developed for our client Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL). The 2009 Davey Awards featured more than 4,000 entries from the best small firms and agencies in the world – hence the name’s reference to David vs. Goliath.
The campaign included Web and radio ads that worked hard to help IPL blow through their original enrollment goals when they introduced E-Bill last year. They had hoped to have 12,000 customers after year one of the program, and nearly 30,000 customers enrolled.
The campaign truly embraced the spirit of the Davey Awards because the creative and the media buy achieved these results with a small budget – proving once again that size doesn’t always matter, but creative and strategic work does.
The campaign was launched in early 2008 and IPL introduced a new brand in June of that year.
