Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's Homework Hotline is a free math and science tutoring service for Indiana students in grades 6–12. Students call toll-free or submit questions online and talk with a Rose-Hulman college student who helps work through the problem. In 2002-2003, as the Homework Hotline expanded statewide in Indiana, Rose-Hulman first hired Borshoff to develop a comprehensive public relations and marketing communications campaign to target students, educators and parents. Each year since then, with Borshoff’s help, the Homework Hotline has experienced an increase in call volume and online question submissions. From its first year of the statewide expansion to now, call volume has more than quadrupled.
