Wishard Bariatric Five Factors Campaign

Building on the success of a 2005 campaign, Borshoff developed the "Five Factors" strategy, featuring real IU-Wishard patients sharing their experiences and objective advice with potential patients contemplating bariatric surgery. The campaign included TV, print and a Web site with an online forum, and promoted the camaraderie of the staff and patients from the beginning of the process throughout their post-operative care. As a result of the campaign efforts, Wishard has reached its highest number of bariatric surgeries to date.
