Mammography bus
State-of-the-art mammography services and diagnostic screening technology are available on the St. Margaret's Mobile Mammography bus, a traveling bus designed to screen patients for breast cancer at local health centers around Indianapolis. Wishard came to Borshoff looking to update the design on the exterior of the bus and wanted something that represented the target, women.
Borshoff chose orchids as a complementary graphic because they have been believed to carry various healing and protective properties allowing them to ward off disease. Flowers are also often associated with femininity, and orchids have historically represented love and beauty. Now, as the bus makes its way through the city and to various health centers, it creates awareness for breast cancer with its recognizable pink ribbon, while teaching the importance of early detection and regular screenings.
