Indianapolis Cultural Trail

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail will be a world-class, 7.5-mile urban
bike and pedestrian path in downtown Indianapolis connecting
neighborhoods, the six established cultural districts and other entertainment
amenities. Ground was broken on April 25, 2007, and construction continues through 2011.
Borshoff partners with Trail officials to organize and promote events to increase the amount of private donations and to generate enthusiasm and support for the Cultural Trail.
RESULTS:
- Hundreds of enthusiasts have attended the public
information fairs and brown bag lunches, and dozens have toured the Trail route
on bikes.
- The VIP and donor launch party, held in October 2006, had more than
200 people in attendance, including Mayor Bart Peterson, Congresswoman Julia
Carson and many others.
- Media coverage for the Cultural Trail launch has been
extensive — reaching more than 4.2 million people and generating more than
$64,000 in ad equivalency during one week.
- Media coverage has also been overwhelmingly positive and accurate, which is truly remarkable for such a complex, highly visible public project that affects downtown travel.
