Each year, as the weather begins to warm, the Hoosier Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America presents the Pinnacle Awards. And the show last Wednesday night left us with a spring in our step.

The event is a great time to celebrate some of our best work from the past year, as well as check out projects from our colleagues across Central Indiana. At the end of the evening, Borshoff took home three Pinnacle awards, including a Best of Show and two Awards of Honor. We also received three multi-state Diamond Awards from PRSA’s East Central District.

Learn a little more about the winning Borshoff projects below:

Gage Risk Video – Pinnacle Best of Show

Gage Risk is a somewhat-official information security spokesman, who wants to help people do the right thing, even if he doesn’t always get it right himself. Gage may look familiar—we recently received two Addy awards from the American Advertising Federation for the project.

Managing Impact of West Virginia Chemical Spill

Pinnacle Award of Honor, East Central Diamond Award

When a toxic chemical spill affected cities along the Ohio River and Elk River in West Virginia, Borshoff helped the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility keep residents informed with timely and proactive updates.

US 31 Closure in Hamilton County

Pinnacle Award of Honor, East Central Diamond Award

After the Indiana Department of Transportation determined US 31 would need to close a year ahead of schedule, Borshoff stepped in to build awareness—quickly. An outreach campaign resulted in stakeholder support, and no noticeable increases in delays.

When MERS Walks In

East Central Diamond Award

Community Hospital faced an international crisis—the first case of Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in the United States. Quick, clear communication was critical, and Borshoff provided media and employee messaging and coaching within hours.

And a very special thanks to all of our clients for the opportunity to do great work.
